We are currently seeking a Brand amp; Communications leader to join our growing Marketing team. This is a high visibility position that requires a blend of strong analytical, business and marketing skills.

Requirements

A day in the life:
  • Developing, managing, executing, and measuring the performance of our GROUNDFLOOR brand as well as other brands in our product portfolio.
  • Shepherding the brand vision across the company, influencing stakeholders, and encouraging alignment of business activities.
  • Identifying highly-compelling insights and white space opportunities for GROUNDFLOOR, and own the articulation of the company's positioning, brand promise, brand architecture, and other elements of the brand strategy, as it continues to evolve.
  • Partnering with leadership to strategically craft compelling brand messaging that is aligned with key personas and messaging hierarchies.
  • Leveraging customer insight, business intelligence, KPI analysis, market awareness, and segmentation to drive effective marketing strategies that package and promote our products through multiple modalities of engagement.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to develop and launch exceptional product experiences, with a special focus on funnel/conversion optimization, ease of use, and customer journey.
  • Conducting relevant market research to measure brand awareness, monitoring trends and adjusting the brand strategy as appropriate; using this market information to operate with initiative and innovation.
  • Telling engaging, compelling stories using a variety of media -- words, images, audio, and video.
  • Overseeing PR efforts to ensure regular contact with target publications, editorial boards, press, and timely response to media requests
  • Managing social media and influencer channels, and providing creative guidance and approval for all social media imagery and content
  • Developing and publishing a functional enterprise content calendar, illustrating what, how, and when key messages will be delivered to key audiences.

  • A great storyteller who possesses a strong ability to conceptualize, develop, drive, coordinate and manage a wide range of content and communications. They define big themes, stories, and narratives and develop and communicate an enterprise content strategy, determining which methods work for the brand and why.
  • Driven to incorporate creative, non-traditional ideas to break through a cluttered media landscape.
  • The subject matter expert on our customers and other target audiences and use this knowledge to create key personas to drive the development of content.
  • Adamant about keeping a brand fresh and engaging while maintaining brand continuity across various mediums.
Your Experience + A Few Nice to Haves:
  • Minimum of 10 years experience working in progressive marketing functions and three years in a leadership position for a disruptive brand.
  • Previous experience working or leading within the context of a high-growth startup, with the aptitude and outlook required to roll up your sleeves and work tactically one day and strategy and management the next.
  • Nimble marketer with proven success building a brand through online (digital, social, affiliate) and offline (traditional media, direct mail, print, trade shows) channels
  • Track record of developing compelling content that attracts, converts, and retains customers in a measurable way throughout their life cycles.
  • Experience in working with senior leaders of an organization, crafting communications strategies appropriate for their roles and personalities.
  • Extremely accountable, resourceful and results-oriented team player capable of high-functioning collaboration with fellow members of our management team,
  • Highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and is readily adaptable to changing market and organizational requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, drive decisions and get closure on recommendations and issues.
  • Proven ability to design and execute large-scale corporate marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to effectively influence both internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with creative and brand agencies, budgets, and negotiating contracts.
