Position Description:

The Senior Account Director, Conventional MDU Sales is an individual contributor with responsibility for effectively positioning and selling Single Digits solutions to strategic, conventional MDU (apartment) ownership, development, and management companies. Results are achieved through successful customer relationship development and management, strategic selling, and exceptional customer service. He/she works as part of a team to drive new sales using a variety of prospecting and account penetration strategies, developing trusted business relationships with target customer decision makers and key influencers, and implementing strategic sales plans to generate new sales revenue. The Senior Account Director customizes and delivers sales presentations to prospective customers, positions Single Digits as a market leader, and closes business to meet/exceed assigned sales and gross profit objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain trusted business relationships with decision makers and key influencers at conventional MDU ownership and management companies in assigned territory
    • Act as a trusted advisor and the primary executive point of contact for Single Digits at these companies for strategic selling, communications, and customer satisfaction
    • Maintain a rhythm of regular communications and in-person visits with customer executives who determine conventional MDU partner relationships and make buying decisions
    • Participate and provide leadership in customer requested meetings and calls
  • Identify and drive strategic sales opportunities at targeted conventional MDU ownership and management companies to close new business and exceed assigned sales quota
    • Develop and maintain a high value, named account list of targeted conventional MDU ownership and management companies in SFDC for the purpose of strategic selling
    • Perform strategic account planning and implement effective sales plans to penetrate target accounts
    • Partner and communicate regularly with MDU sales team members regarding strategic sales opportunities and participate in joint sales calls as needed
    • Attend tradeshows and customer events to expand MDU customer relationships, drive new MDU property sales, and support contract renewals at existing customer properties
    • Negotiate new Master Service Agreements and close strategic sales opportunities
    • Attend regular internal meetings with Single Digits leadership to review and manage the health of the property portfolios at our strategic conventional MDU ownership and management companies
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Single Digits value propositions and capabilities, and articulate them effectively to existing and prospective conventional MDU ownership and management companies
  • Partner with internal departments, including Sales, Solutions Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Operations, Customer Care, etc. to support company performance and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Work with Marketing, Operations, and Engineering to enhance existing products and services and develop new offerings
  • Promote a positive reputation and brand image for Single Digits in the marketplace
    • Quickly escalate pricing, installation, service, or other issues for your prospects and customers as necessary and act as the lead to manage and resolve them in a timely manner
    • Provide leadership on the creation and management of get well plans for conventional MDU ownership and management companies when required, and support execution of the plans to achieve customer penetration and success

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university
  • Five years of technology sales and business development experience and proven track record of success in the conventional MDU sector
  • Possess a thorough understanding of executive relatio
