ENCO is seeking an experienced candidate for the Quality Assurance Manager position in our Orlando laboratory. The successful candidate will be a team player, have a strong understanding of basic chemistry, be detail-oriented, and work well in a deadline-oriented production environment. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task multiple projects with differing deadlines as well as knowledge of appropriate regulatory requirements by state and/or program are essential to success. Formal experience with analytical instrumentation and techniques is required.
Requirements
To Qualify For This Opportunity Candidates Must Have/Possess:
- A four-year degree in Chemistry or related science field (e.g. Biology) and a minimum of two years environmental laboratory experience. 1 -3 years Quality Assurance experience is preferred.

- Must be highly computer literate. Must possess knowledge and aptitude to learn related software programs including excel and word.
- Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and possess exceptional communication skills
- A high level of interpersonal skills, excellent leadership skills and motivational skills.

- The ability to be self-directed and maintain excellent organizational skills.

- Ability to work flexible hours and accept additional responsibilities as needed.
Essential duties and responsibilities includebut are not limited to the following:
- The implementation of the local laboratory QA program designed to meet client data quality objectives. This includes annual training of laboratory staff on QA system;
- Monitoring and assessing the compliance of the laboratory with the requirements contained in the QA program;
- Conducting audits and inspections to assess compliance with established policies and procedures. Summary results of all audits are included in monthly QA reports and delivered to operations and the Director of Quality Assurance;
- Hosting external audits of the laboratory, and coordinate the laboratory response if necessary;
- Periodic review of laboratory data focusing on traceability and compliance;
- Maintaining a document control system containing current policies and procedures utilized by the laboratory;
- Maintaining a corrective action system and assessing the effectiveness of corrective actions in the laboratory;
- Maintaining the QA section of LIMS. This includes MDL input and updates, analysis code input and review, precision and accuracy maintenance;
- Maintaining various certification programs for laboratory as directed by operations;
- Reviewing laboratory performance on various QC proficiency samples submitted to laboratories by state and federal agencies;
