Job Description

The Account Director at Collectively plays a critical role in retaining and growing top line revenue at Collectively through excellent account development, relationship building, and client services leadership on assigned accounts.

This is a strategic client services role that is directly responsible for account growth, client satisfaction and advocacy for Collectively as an agency partner, as well as day-to-day collaborative client services solutions in partnership with the cross-functional contributors (Production, Analytics amp; Performance, Community, Strategy, Operations).

The Account Director is responsible for servicing a group of accounts generating at least $6MM in annual revenue for the agency and managing a dedicated group of Planners and/or Managers amp; Sr. Managers to support these efforts.


Key Performance Indicators:

Note: While each of these indicators provides an important lens into individual performance; we ultimately look at the holistic relationship of all four KPIs in addition to specific account considerations. To help us evaluate performance across these KPIs, we may use historical or account-specific benchmarks amp; goals.

  • Account Growth (as measured by number of RFPs amp; YOY revenue increase)
  • Client Satisfaction amp; Advocacy (as measured by YOY revenue retention, referrals, marketing participation)
  • Quality of Work (as measured by win rate amp; client satisfaction on core BP deliverables)
  • Direct Report/Team Success, Satisfaction, Growth amp; Retention



Responsibilities:

Account Development amp; Client Services

  • Set the strategy and manage the team to create, produce and deliver successful RFPs, wrap reports and/or other key client development deliverables throughout the course of the client journey
  • Review amp; refine any and all client communications or deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards, looping in the executive team where collaboration will support best in class materials/work.
  • Directly communicate and interface with senior clients in key relationship moments as needed across the accounts
  • Accountability to all client relationships and quality of relationship-building/account development activities across account portfolio
  • Provide executive updates and keep leadership group or cross-functional account teams up to date on business development / key account context
  • Role model senior client services to junior staff and x-functional teams and ensure Collectively Client Services philosophies are demonstrated

Team Management

  • Provide hands-on mentorship, guidance, learning opportunities, and direct feedback loops on a consistent basis to direct reports to ensure they are contributing successfully across the accounts they are supporting and are motivated and engaged in their current role
  • In partnership with Senior Director, successfully delegates resources across the account ecosystem to ensure team is fully contributing on a daily basis, helping to manage and mentor through the ups and downs of the account cycles to encourage growth and avoid burnout
  • Communicate on a regular basis with functional team leadership on overall health and happiness of the team, and proactively ideate solutions for supporting Direct Reports in their career growth or challenges they are experiencing

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of directly relevant client services agency experience in influencer marketing, social media marketing or consumer PR
  • Revenue responsibility and track record for developing and growing accounts
  • Exceptional people skills and experience cultivating and strengthening relationships with clients
  • Knowledge of and passion for influencer marketing and social media platforms
  • Excellent professional communication skillsboth written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail, eye for design and commitment to producing quality work
  • Exceptional focus and time management skills, able to hit deadlines autonomously; to follow process efficiently; identify where process may require exceptions or change, and hit deadlines autonomously
  • Excellent initiative and proactive follow-through with all colleagues from peers to senior staff
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for making great work happen
