Job Description

Position Summary

The Sr. Consultant will be leading teams in the configuration and implementation of performance management and other related software solutions to meet the client’s business and technical requirements. In this role, you will work directly with our client base throughout the US with potential to work mulitple projects per year. It also requires the ability to travel to client sites in the US/Canada and occasionally in other regions as required by the project.

Responsibilities in this role include consulting throughout the software implementation lifecycle, from requirements gathering, design, build, testing and go-live. Sr. Consultants will facilitate sessions with clients to capture and validate requirements and review sessions, complete design activities and then perform configuration and development tasks as well as supervise and provide direction for other consultants on the project team.

Objectives

The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Demonstrate experience configuring business requirments into the Xactly platform
  • Identify specific information needed to clarify situations or make decisions
  • Assumes responsibility for the design and delivery of the overall technical solution and engages the OS Solution Architect as needed for reviews/technical issue support
  • Develop design amp; requirements documentation
  • Share expertise with colleague / team members
  • Approach a complex task or problem by breaking it down into its component parts and consider each part in detail
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of practice specific concepts and best practices (such as SPM, incentive compensation, HCM, CPQ, etc.)
  • Understand when and how to switch to a different strategy when an initially selected one is unsuccessful
  • Monitor progress and put effort in where is most needed
  • Assist with creation of project work plan including sequencing of tasks and estimating work effort

Requirements

  • 3+ years working in technical implementation consulting
  • 5+ years w/ external client facing experience
  • Strong understanding and experience in SQL
  • Expert level communication skills including writing, listening and speaking
  • Sales Compensation experience is not required by strongly preferred
