Your role at SCOUT:
As a member of SCOUT Health you will play a key role in helping to shape the clients’ brand identity by validating all scientific content within materials developed for the healthcare professional and patient audiences.
Key responsibilities of the Medical Information Specialist:
- Ensure accuracy of promotional copy by fact-checking manuscripts, layouts, and digital projects and annotate claims to clinical references for client submissions.
- Advise copy and art direction on the clinical accuracy of text, charts, and medical images.
- Support the medical writers in referencing and sourcing copy per AMA style in promotional pieces.
- Provide disease-state overviews and competitive analysis for new business initiatives.
- Analyze and research scientific/medical data, including clinical and scientific platforms, and make recommendations regarding use of this data to enhance marketing advantages for specific products as well as disease awareness.
- Perform regular literature reviews and report on developments within related disease states to stay current on industry practices and regulatory requirements that affect medical content and copy.
- Perform electronic legal submissions of promotional pieces as needed for review by the client’s medical/regulatory team
The Clinical Research Associate reports directly to the Associate Scientific Director and is a talented and detail-oriented individual who brings ingenuity and experience in healthcare marketing. This person will work very closely with creative teams and work across multiple brands as needed.

Desired qualities of candidate:
- Degree in biological sciences, engineering, or communications (B.S. or M.S.).
- 2-5 years of CRA experience at a pharmaceutical advertising agency preferred
- Ability to conduct literature searches, comprehend medical journal articles, and analyze clinical information and data.
- Experienced in MS Word, Adobe Professional, and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented, thorough, and accurate.
- Flexible with rapidly shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Positive and proactive with an entrepreneurial spirit.
