Production Supervisor 2nd Shift
Central Package amp; Display is searching for an experienced Production Manager / Supervisor to oversee production operations and manage / direct plant personnel to achieve production goals. Production operations include corrugated, folding carton, and maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with Scheduler and Production Manager to schedule production orders for 2nd shift.
- Supervise amp; Train Personnel: Assign personnel to specific tasks, monitor team for quality and efficiency, and provide instruction and guidance as needed.
- Assures Quality Controls are maintained and inspections are completed per Company standards.
- Work with Production Manager amp; HR Manager to hire, train, supervise and discipline production personnel.
- Monitor Safety: Strive to prevent injuries and accidents by monitoring safety within the department and make recommendations to improve safeguards.
Requirements
Required Skills amp; Qualifications
- Team Leadership: The ability to effectively manage union leads and production workers.
- Time Management: Highly organized and ability to multi-task.
- Safety Conscience: Ability to prioritize workplace safety to prevent injuries
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with employees and management. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Familiarity with manufacturing software a plus.
- Excellent Attendance, highly motivated and a self-starter
- Physical Demands: Must be able to work full time, working Monday through Thursday afternoon/evening schedule.
Required Experience
- Previous experience as a Production Supervisor or Manager (minimum of 3 years).
- Experience in Manufacturing is a must, and within the corrugated industry is preferred.
