Job Description

As the owner of the CRM system, the Sr. Salesforce Administrator works closely with our client's sales, technology, and business teams to provide day-to-day design, configuration, maintenance, and improvement of the Salesforce.com platform. The role is part technical project manager, part administrator and part Salesforce analyst. You must be able to independently identify business needs and then develop project plans, analysis, and reporting that meets those needs. You will lead the charge on implementing standards and will be responsible for designing solutions and owning the testing, release, and support of all Salesforce-related functions and applications.

Key Duties amp; Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Creation and maintenance of user accounts (roles, profiles, permissions); developing standard/custom reports and dashboards.
  • Workflows and processes, validation rules, page layouts, managing SF.com data feeds and other integrations
  • Managed packages and metadata; email templates, custom buttons, and triggers
  • Assist in training of new users (including creating training materials and running training sessions), and globally grow the Salesforce.com skillset
  • Own resolution on Salesforce sales and marketing cases, and manage support requests and escalated administrative needs of users by providing prompt and complete resolutions to technical challenges and business support issues
  • Champion and guide best practices, design patterns and standards
  • Create and maintain timely and accurate internal documentation for fields, processes, workflows, profiles and permissions, data mapping, reporting and dashboard building
  • Maintain data quality by identifying and deleting or merging duplicate records, cleansing, and updating or removing inaccurate data
  • Develop effective data management processes and data governance - participate in change management process and effective communication.
  • Participate and contribute to release lifecycle (change sets, packages, etc) across development, sandbox, test, and production instances.
  • Partner with global business stakeholders to proactively identify, and drive enhancements and system customizations that solve critical business needs
  • Perform integration and performance testing of new application functionality, as well as analyze and mitigate issues identified during testing
  • Support QA efforts during rollouts of new or modifications to system features
  • Complete regular internal system audits on usage and user activity
  • Run quarterly database maintenance reports, create, and maintain archives as needed
  • Communicate security risks and solutions to technical and non-technical business owners
  • Coordinate and assist in gathering requirements of new development requests, and assess the impact of new requirements on all upstream/downstream applications, systems, and processes
  • Roadmap development and prioritization in partnership with the business team and stakeholders, including estimated work effort and timelines

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of Salesforce.com administrator experience
  • Individual must have a proactive, strategic mindset with a strong intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong business acumen and an understanding of how to connect with and relate to sales people
  • Solid understanding of how to solve for business problems beyond just offering technical solutions
  • Demonstrated understanding of, and experience with, complex Salesforce architecture and APIs
  • Experience working on iterative projects and with deployment strategies/processes (staging environment vs. production)
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning preferred
  • Experience developing technologies such as Apex and/or Visualforce pages preferred
  • High-level acumen for Excel and experience with other reporting/analytical applications (i.e., Tableau, Insight Squared, etc)
  • Ability to use Salesforce ecosystem tools, including data deduplication and marketing automation
  • Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity
  • Strong analytical skills, proven data analytics expertise and ability to visualize data for consumption
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a strict attention to detail and proven ability to follow-through
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action with sustainable solution with an orientation for detail and accuracy
  • Occasional travel to internal team and company meetings, and/or Salesforce events
  • This role supports and interacts with global team members across multiple time zones; some variety will be expected in daily workloads as a result.
