Job Description

    The mechanical engineer’s primary purpose is to provide solutions for new and existing production applications in liquid filling and nonwoven converting operations. In addition, the mechanical engineer will collaborate with customers, plant personnel, and management to achieve the successful completion of projects and equipment improvements.

    This position will be based out of our headquarters in Port Washington, Wisconsin but will be required to travel between local facilities on a regular basis.


    Sign-on Bonus Details

    $500 paid at 60 days, $1000 at 6 months. Must be in good standing to qualify. Bonus will be paid on the next full pay period once the milestone has been reached.


    Essential Functions of the Mechanical Engineer:

    • Design, develop, and enhance consumer products, manufacturing processes and equipment.
    • Assist the sales team and senior management by generating equipment quotations and technical information.
    • Develop cost saving solutions for consumer products and manufacturing processes.
    • Assist in the development of production procedures and standards for new products.
    • Travel to third party sites to evaluate equipment and processes.
    • Assist in production line assembly or set up.
    • Train maintenance and production personnel on new equipment.
    • Provide supervision for equipment and facility installations.
    • Draw equipment and processes in Auto Cad or Solid Works to facilitate the purchase and installation of new equipment or to archive existing operations.

Requirements

  • Requires a mechanical engineering degree.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in liquid filling or nonwoven converting.
  • Specifically relevant experience to what we do at KTP is a must.
  • Requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business information, journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as analytical problem solving capabilities.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or Solid Works
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with information.
