Data Analyst - Product Merchandising

Job Description

As a data analyst, you will have the opportunity to utilize your analytical and technical chops to uncover business insights that drive growth. This role will support the merchandising and inventory teams by unlocking access and insights to data amp; streamlining its useability. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working with large sets of data, be proficient in SQL and Python, and have excellent critical thinking/ analytical skills.
- Operate as a functional specialist for BI software and tools, understanding and documenting the underlying data from multiple sources
- Collaborate with buying, inventory, and operations teams to answer key business questions by analyzing, modeling, and visualizing data to make recommendations.
- Help drive data collection requirements and analysis for product performance and future predicted output
- Build data models and dashboards to be consumed by our end-users and platform to drive streamlined reporting and automation efforts
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in related role (eComm and/or retail industry experience a plus)
- Fluency in SQL: window functions and CTEs are part of our daily work.
- Fluency in Python or another scripting language a plus
- Experience using a data flow scheduling system like Airflow or dbt a plus.
- Experience with predictive data modeling a plus
- Experience with Netsuite a plus
- Experience building / maintaining ETLs a plus
