riskmethods is looking for a Finance and Accounting Specialist to join our team in Boston. As the Finance and Accounting Specialist, you’ll be part of our global Finance team, working to support our North America finance and accounting operations. As the individual responsible for North America finance, you are eager to own and drive work with minimal supervision. You may not have all the answers, but you also possess a strong desire and ability to learn and figure it out.
While we are safely working remotely now and will be a remote first culture in the future, candidates who are a commutable distance to the Boston office are preferred.
Requirements
What you will do:
- Manage accounting transactions within the procure-to-pay process
- Own and manage our expense report platform and processes for employees
- Support our global billing function
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable; manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Act as administrator on bank account, ensuring timely bank payments
- Partner closely with our tax adviser to provide information and ensure accurate tax filings
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
- Ensure riskmethods complies with group financial policies and US tax regulations
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field
- Several years previous work experience in an accounting, finance or administrative role
- Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
- Hands-on experience with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, NetSuite is a plus
- Experience with US Sales tax is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and continually seeks improvement
- Enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Comfortable figuring it out and finding solutions if you don’t know the answer
