Job Description
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Platform team, you’ll be directly responsible for the infrastructure, tooling, and foundational services that application teams build upon to ship products to customers, while also providing guidance to application engineers on building products that effectively utilize Anvyl's infrastructure. You will work to ensure our infrastructure is auditable, meets the highest security standards, and automated where possible.
- Lead and own major initiatives to improve monitoring, stability, and security of Anvyl’s infrastructure
- Conduct analysis on the performance and scalability of Anvyl’s systems and applications
- Architect and build shared systems and services that will be used by our engineering team
- Set and maintain high standards of technical excellence across the team
- Contribute to maintaining Anvyl’s technical compliance commitments
- Achieve operational excellence by participating in the team on-call rotation and owning production issues from root cause analysis to resolution
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders on projects impacting the broader engineering organization
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant technical experience in Software Engineering or DevOps roles
- Experience leading Platform and DevOps projects while setting and maintaining high standards of technical excellence across your team
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, and a history of working effectively with your team and cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience with our tech stack, which includes Ruby amp; Python, Google Cloud Platform, Firebase, and Terraform
- Experience building infrastructure or applications on top of major Cloud providers like GCP or AWS
- Experience or interest in building data pipelines that span multiple systems
- Experience or interest in Operations tech or supply chain management
