The Chief Executive Officer is the senior-most executive of Betty Griffin Center with responsibility for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organization.
Some key responsibilities include:
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Two years’ experience working in the domestic violence field.
Complete 30 hours of initial domestic and sexual violence training to become registered for privileged communication.
Attend and document 16 hours of training each fiscal year in domestic, child abuse, elder abuse, and other issues that are pertinent to providing quality service to victims of which 8 of the hours each fiscal year will be on sexual violence.
Comply with any other mandatory annual domestic and sexual violence training as required by the Department of Children and Family Services and/or other funding sources.
Strong leadership skills.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from community groups, staff and Boards of Directors.
Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
