What You Will Do
TetraScience is looking for a motivated Instructional Designer contractor who possesses a unique balance of technical depth, business knowledge, and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is a goal-driven problem solving Instructional Designer with experience working across multiple instructional delivery modalities to create high-quality learning experiences that support our growing learning community. This effort will require someone who is attracted tobeing the first to start a program.
The role requires an individual who is knowledgeable in professional learning and instructional design strategies for performance-based outcomes, can innovate, move quickly, and not be constrained by how things have been done before. While the Instructional Designer may or may not be steeped in Cloud, enterprise data integration or life science Ramp;D , they should be technically strong and have significant experience with technical subject matter.
- Use instructional design expertise to analyze, design, and develop effective and engaging instructional materials that meet audience needs
- Create/follow the high-level design to develop training and enablement content for field representatives and/or partners (including but not limited to instructor-led presentations, sales assets, e-Learning courses) using sound writing, communication, and instructional design principles and strategies
- Develop simulations, job aids, assessment questions, etc. to support courseware
- Conduct design and content reviews effectively and in a timely manner
- Work cross-functionally and develop a trusting partnership with stakeholders, SMEs, and cross-functional teams
- Provide thought leadership on instructional design and adult learning, drive continuous process improvements, and conduct metrics analysis
- Learn Tetra Data Platform products; translate complex information and concepts into accessible learning materials
Requirements

- Natural ability to translate the technology offering into a productive learning experience
- Someone who can get up and running quickly, delivering on goals at a fast pace, while keeping long term goals in focus
- Skilled at selecting an LMS platform and getting it up and running in short order
- Experience working in IT or writing about it
- Manage multiple complex curriculum development projects simultaneously
- Analyze incoming requests to identify the root cause of knowledge gaps and determine if format and user-experience is appropriate
- Identify the most appropriate training approach to meet the demands of the learning objectives
- Design and develop training experiences in a variety of modalities (self-directed, instructor-led, or blended)
- Create reliable and valid learner evaluation tools to gauge knowledge and skill transfer

- Experience producing videos or visual content
- Experience/comfortable using git and GitHub as a content management system
