Content Intern

At OneSpace, Content Interns work with key stakeholders to outline and create project plans that help clients execute their strategic business objectives. You will be a subject-matter expert in the OneSpace platforms, keyword research, retailer requirements, and e-commerce content. The role is very hands-on, working with internal teams as well as managing freelancers to complete various projects. You will be responsible for staying up-to-date with retailer requirements and assist in proposing content strategies for new and existing clients.

This internship pays $15 an hour and is eligible for overtime but not benefits; it is a part-time position working a minimum 20-30 hours per week with some scheduling flexibility to adapt to school or other schedules. We ask for a 3-month commitment with the option to extend at the hiring manager's discretion.

In this role you will:

  • Manage the core components of client projects, including:
    • Working with Account Managers to understand client needs
    • Communicating with freelancers in a clear and concise manner
    • Contributing to e-commerce content strategy plans
    • Identifying areas for improvement on projects and proposing appropriate solutions
    • Reviewing and approving all project deliverables to ensure quality standards and project expectations are met
  • Implement proper screening methods (tests, samples, surveys, etc.) to ensure the right freelancers have access to the right projects
  • Coach freelancers’ performance throughout the lifecycle of a project via email and forums; including resolving disputes, communicating instruction changes, and providing constructive performance feedback
  • Absorb freelancer concerns and prioritize their importance; responding and making updates to projects to mitigate concerns
  • Work closely with clients as content guidelines are being gathered to ensure comprehensive instructions and guidelines are created for their project
  • Analyze e-commerce content and make changes as needed
  • Collaborate with client, account team, and other departments to create innovative content ideas that drive online conversion
  • Coordinate multiple projects at once, keeping track of all deadlines, deliverables, and associated tasks
  • Collaborate with the project team to determine internal costs and scope of project plans
  • Ensure that project issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing the project team of any problems that may arise
  • Provide regular input on all project activity, including weekly status updates

Requirements

To win in this role you need:

  • Current college student in good standing working toward a bachelor’s degree (Business, Communication, Journalism or related field of study preferred); senior or recent graduate preferred, but will also consider candidates with relevant field experience and/or applicable soft skills
  • Ability to commit to working 20 to 30 hours a week
  • Excellent writing and editing skills (working knowledge of AP style a plus)
  • Understanding of SEO and e-commerce copywriting best practices
  • Familiarity with crowdsourcing concepts and related industry trends
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; exceptional active listening skills
  • The ability to focus when under pressure in a fast paced environment
