EMI Services is looking for an Instrument Mechanic to work on day-to-day monitoring and basic plant and pump/booster station operations, lab tests, and corrective, predictive, and preventative maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Installs, repairs, maintains, and adjusts indicating, recording, tele-metering, and controlling instruments used to measure and control variables, such as pressure, flow, temperature, motion, force, and chemical composition, using hand tools and precision instruments.
- Disassembles malfunctioning instruments, examines and tests mechanism and circuitry for defects; troubleshoots equipment in or out of control system and replaces or repairs defective parts, reassembles instrument and tests assembly for conformance with specifications, using instruments, such as a potentiometer, resistance bridge, manometer, and pressure gauge; inspects instruments periodically, and makes minor calibration adjustments to insure functioning within specified standards.
- Adjust and repair final control mechanisms, such as automatically controlled valves or positioners, and may calibrate instruments according to established standards.
- Operates equipment manually and through instrumentation panels, computer terminals, and programmable logic control units following process control procedures. Monitors and observes operating conditions, records observations, and data in shift log.
- Diagnoses basic operational problems and takes corrective action per procedure.
Requirements
- High school or GED with the ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety, and quality instructions) and be able to carry out verbal and written instructions.
- Three (3)+ years experience in a related position in a similar environment with the ability to comprehend complex specifications, blueprints, and manuals.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license (commercial license is desirable) and a safe driving record.
