Job Description

Geoship is on a mission to build the thriving geodesic world. We envision a future of inspiring Earth-Friendly villages that help human communities reconnect with the natural world. Geoship is a Social Purpose Corporation that will transition into a Multi-Stakeholder Cooperative. Our mission is one of co-operation and evolutionary purpose. This goes for the ceramic geodesic domes we build, and the skillful, courageous human beings we seek to attract.

We're on an infinite journey setting ourselves free from the dominant thought structures that limit human minds and political systems. We reframe problems, seek new solutions and operate with a learning mindset. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of nature and the determination to connect with the natural world at ever deeper levels. We understand the depth of this connection relates to the health of our relationships, with ourselves, our families, our communities, and the Earth.

Role Summary
Craftsmanship is at the heart of what we do. The Geoship product is not only a ceramic dome, but also a beautiful manufacturing facility. By joining Geoship at this early stage, you will have the opportunity to master your craft, wear multiple hats, and participate in the development of one of the world's most advanced additive manufacturing technologies.

Your initial focus will be on mixing powder and water to make rock. More accurately ceramic-fiber composites that "fire" at room temperature. You'll be part of a 2-3 person team that works toward mastering the process of mixing ceramic materials, pumping it into molds, removing the ceramic parts from the mold, cleaning the molds, inspecting the parts, rinsing and repeating. We are continuously innovating, developing a new technology for mass production of bioceramic geodesic domes. When we transition from pilot production to full production this process will become highly automated.

You may get bored in this role after a while. But you'll have the opportunity to train someone else in the process, then move on to a practically infinite array of opportunities that will emerge as Geoship scales from a team of 5 to a team of 500.
