BMS Estimator

The BMS Estimator is responsible for analyzing plans/specifications and other documentation to prepare material and labor estimates. This role interacts frequently with Sales Executives.

• Create estimates for BMS (Building Management Systems).
• Estimate material, labor and subcontractor costs for system applications per plans/specifications.
• Layout and design systems.
• Work with Operations to ensure accurate estimates.
• Perform analysis of collected data and metrics.
• Qualify new opportunities.
• Prepare technical scope of work proposals.
• Attend sales meetings and training seminars.
• Track sales activities and forecast sales opportunities in CRM.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to use MS Excel, online estimating tools, other computer programs to support technical take off.
• Good analytical skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with Company staff, contractors, and customers.
• Ability to work with Sales Executives to support their effort to sell.
• Previous experience in the building automation or electrical sector preferred.
