We're looking for a versatile, hard-working, and talented Head of Trust amp; Safety who is passionate about our brand to join our team remotely!


What this team does.

The Trust amp; Safety team is responsible for improving the overall member experience through the development of all site policies, enforcement tools and processes, and to reduce friction in order to enable growth and revenue for Spring. We work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that our company values are reflected throughout our policies and procedures, and that we consistently provide the highest quality support for our members and help them find success on our platform.


What you'll do.

The Head of Trust amp; Safety is responsible for the advancement of Spring’s mission through the development and management of site policies, as well as the integrity and enforcement of the supporting processes. This person will coordinate research on legal, industry, and competitive standards and work with Spring’s Legal Team to write and update as needed clear, concise policies for the Spring community. Policies cover a range of areas, including Acceptable Use, Intellectual Property, and Privacy Policy. Additionally, they will be responsible for implementing the policy strategy and assisting teams in achieving their business objectives.

  • Work with Spring’s Legal Team to develop and maintain Spring’s public facing terms and conditions to ensure they are clear, concise, and user friendly
  • Manage the Trust amp; Safety team to enforce Spring’s policies
  • Build and improve Spring’s Trust amp; Safety processes and systems for enforcing policies, including the processes for reviewing users, stores/listings, and intellectual property claims from users and/or external parties
  • Research and analyze industry and competitor standards, legal considerations, and legislative proposals to assess the impact to the business as necessary
  • Understand and integrate international standards, regulations, and cultural expectations in support of Spring’s global presence and expansion
  • Develop an internal library of resources on policy and enforcement procedures, including a comprehensive training program and any necessary materials for internal teams, as well as any outsourced partners
  • Work with internal business partners, such as Sales and Marketing, and external business partners, such as Public Relations, to ensure that Spring’s policies and operations support and advance our competitive position
  • Work with community facing teams to understand community sentiment, communication process, and challenges

Requirements

What we need.

  • 3+ years of working in technology or online community policy
  • 3+ years experience in one or more of the following areas or combination thereof: Property, Copyright, Trademark and/or Rights of Publicity, Risk Management, Transactional Fraud, Fraud Operations or Legal Support
  • Strong management and leadership skills; can set clear priorities and eliminate barriers
  • Strong relationship and collaboration skills; able to work with a multicultural and global team of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to analyze data and use that data to improve policies and procedures
  • Ability to manage several projects at once and collaborate across different time zones
  • Strong written and communication skills

Bonus points:

  • Knowledge of IP - JD experience or 5-7 years in a general policy role working closely with legal personnel
  • SQL and Excel skills
