Consolidation in the Washington D.C. banking market has left customers undeserved, with few banks that combine our balance sheet size with flexibility and speed of decision. In 2017, the Bank begin making commercial real estate loans in the greater Washington D.C. metropolitan area, with a focus on stabilized income-producing assets. We have had significant growth in the Washington market and we plan to build out a larger local team, with a focus on commercial real estate origination and private client banking/treasury management.
This individual will be responsible for originating commercial real estate loans in the greater Washington D.C. metropolitan area, along with developing deposit relationships with our commercial real estate borrowers. They will work closely with our extended team, including our other originators in Boston and Washington, as well as our Specialized Deposit Group. Strong candidates will have a demonstrated record of origination, deep knowledge of the greater Washington, D.C. commercial real market, and good underwriting and valuation skills. We are interested in both senior and mid-level candidates.
Although this position will ultimately work from our office space in Washington (we are currently building an office near the Camp;O Canal in Georgetown), our team is currently working remotely, leveraging significant long-standing investments in Google's GSuite and Google Cloud Platforms. Based on current conditions, this individual will likely begin work on a remote or hybrid basis.
