The Product Management function plays an important role in the future of Perceptyx. As the Content Specialist and Technical Writer for our industry-leading solution, you will be responsible for owning the creation and stewardship of Product documentation and materials for internal teams and customers in partnership with the Product Management team.

We are looking for your diverse insights and perspectives to contribute to a highly engaged and customer-centric culture. The chosen candidate will be highly organized and self-motivated to create high-quality documentation systems and content. They will also possess proven experiencewriting for a business employee/ software user. Their ability to evaluate and analyze complex information will be second to none, and they will have a natural desire to help people understand complex information.

Here at Perceptyx, you will lead the definition of repeatable documentation patterns and process, normalize inputs and outputs across the team and create a consistent documentation voice that supports the Perceptyx brand. In particular, you will work across functions, but primarily with the Product Team to establish quality documentation for things including, but not limited to, customer-facing release notes, cumulative and referenceable Product documentation, release communications, help content, and support online customer community moderation. The chosen person will do this important work in collaboration with a team of Product Managers to create a unified, holistic, yet modular documentation experience for our customers. Requirements

What You Will Do:
  • Research, outline, write and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand requirements.
  • Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write product and process documentation.
  • Work with product leads and stakeholders to identify or create documentation repositories and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage.
  • Research, create, and maintain information architecture templates that meet requirements for use and access by stakeholder groups.
  • Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation.
  • Work closely with Product Managers on the scope and priority of tasks to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers to ensure an accurate understanding of how the product works.
  • Produce high-quality documentation while working in a continuous deployment environment.
  • Solicit stakeholder reviews and perform peer reviews of content produced by others.
  • Verify the accuracy of documentation before publishing, and maintain it as needed.
What You Will Bring:
  • BS/BA degree in journalism, English, or Communications (or similar).
  • Ideally 3 plus years of industry experience as an effective technical writer for SaaS-based applications.
  • Experience writing for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Attention to detail and ability to organize effectively.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
  • Proven experiment with early prototypes, test, learn and adapt.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, continuous delivery deployment environment.
  • Willingness to work with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for a wide range of personas and internal/ external audiences.
  • Ability to influence and coordinate activities of resources outside of direct control.
  • Expert knowledge of standard desktop applications, MS Office (Word, XLS, PowerPoint), etc.
