To support our expansion in the US, we are looking for an inspiring leader to augment our Information Technology senior leadership team. The position is located at our office in Boston.
Mission
As a Director, you will report directly to the VP of Engineering and will lead our web development team -a growing group of experts on a mission to bring Sophia Genetics applications to a higher ground.
You will be responsible for the overall web application development life cycle, a set of applications used by thousands of healthcare institutions worldwide. To achieve this mission, you will work closely with customers, the product organization, and the rest of the senior technology team to meet our ambitious goals of bringing a better user experience, faster and more iterative release cycle into production software. In addition, you will oversee that the web development team adopts and improves modern software practices and becomes master in delivering applications that are suited for medical use.
You will define and execute the company web strategy, both in terms of technology and competence. To succeed, you will make sure the technological choices made to deliver better applications are in alignment with the platform evolution and meet our intent for rapid iteration and for better user experience. When it comes to competence, you will use your leadership skills to instill a strong customer first mindset in your team. You will nurture and grow our web competence and will consider, when required, to augment it with well targeted external competence intake; either for accelerating the development or for fueling your organization with missing competence.
As our most Senior IT Leader in the US, you will be a key local representative for the IT organization toward the rest of the Leadership teams. You will be the voice and face of the IT in the US. You will be the local IT role model, setting the standard and acting as an anchor for our growing organization. You will be a champion of SOPHIA tech culture in the US.

You are a passionate and experienced leader who has a proven track record of successful team organization, web technology strategy, delivery and operation in a fast pace, customer driven, environment. You are strategic. You can position your team as an operational excellence center. You understand the healthcare space and are passionate about delivering value to customers. You are an expert in modern web technology and engineering best practices. You are able to roll up your sleeves and prove your point via data driven facts and working software. You are able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. You are a good manager who knows on how to lead and bring you team to the next level.
