Job Description

With more than 175 lettered trucks on the road throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut, you may have seen or heard of us. But if you haven't yet, you soon will, because we are striving to be the biggest and undeniably best fire protection company in the Northeast. And through our continued growth and success has created an immediate need for a new Warehouse Associate in our Needham, Massachusetts office.

Make no mistake. We are not your average fire protection company and we are not looking for an average warehouse worker. The ideal candidate is going to be motivated, hardworking, and have a "get it done" attitude. There is no task too little or too big for our Warehouse Specialist. Although we do need someone physically inclined, they also can't be afraid to flex their intellectual, problem-solving muscles. And someone who excels in this position will have unlimited opportunity for promotion into one of our field technician or service delivery teams.

Get ready to "roll up your sleeves" because here's what you can expect:

  • Unload product using forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Count and verify physical product received and compare to packing lists
  • Inspect freight for possible damage and notate damage on delivery forms
  • Pick and stage orders required for multiple job-sites across New England
  • Coordinate logistics of all departing and arriving shipments
  • Inventory management using various software
  • Perform general maintenance throughout office and grounds
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

In this position, as with most in our organization, the primary requirement is a "can do" attitude and willingness to work hard. However there are a few non-negotiable requirements that will help someone to excel in this position:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs
  • General working knowledge and comfort using the computer; specifically email and Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
  • Willingness to learn new technology as required
  • Knowledge and experience using hand tools

Benefits

As a company, Encore is hyper-focused on developing a culture that thrives on success and is energized by the fact that we get to make peoples' lives better and safer each day. One of the ways we do this is by generously rewarding all those who contribute to our continued growth. But we also believe that not all rewards are monetary. Here are just a few a few perks that a successful individual in this role can expect:

  • Full-time position with an attractive hourly pay and opportunity for advancement.
  • Encore apparel and gear
  • Freedom to express ideas - a culture of willingness to test, try, modify, adopt, enhance, improve and CHANGE as needed
  • Access to leading edge web-based productivity tools
  • Participation in Fidelity 401(K) that includes employer match
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits through Blue Cross
  • Company-paid life insurance policy of $25,000
