We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to be responsible for the routing of reservations to the corresponding Master Account for the processing of the Group’s Invoice and addressing disputes and concerns of clients in a timely fashion. Specific duties include:
- Process and review all charges and generate invoices for all Master Accounts.
- Responsible for investigating and qualifying any adjustments/corrections to a Group’s Invoice in a timely fashion.
- Responsible for the Mailing or Federal Expressing of Master Account Invoices in accordance with the A/R Policy and Procedure.
- Responsible for placing the initial courtesy call to the client and documenting conversation on appropriate Account Jacket.
- Assist the Credit Manager with collection calls on Group Accounts and communicate any concern of a collection problem.
- Responsible for the investigation of all Credit Card RFC (Request for Copy) and resubmitting to the credit card processor with the appropriate back up, before the due date.
- Use utilities and resources in a responsible manner to control wastage.
- Communicate relevant information to the department, your line manager and across departments, as appropriate.
- Comply with safe working practices, Health and Safety policy and ensure accidents/defects are reported immediately.
- Attend learning and development courses and complete eLearning modules, as required.

Requirements
High School education is a must and Associated degree/College degree or three years experience as Accounts Receivable. Must have the following: Thorough knowledge in accounting concepts and bookkeeping. Thorough knowledge in accounting concepts and bookkeeping and also have basic math skills. Knowledge of basic Accounts Receivable procedures. Working knowledge to reconcile accounts. Ability to communicate fully in English with all levels of management and co-workers. Spanish will be an advantage. Ability to read and interpret documents and manuals. Ability to create, write and produce correspondence and documents. Ability to speak effectively and professionally before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to communicate effectively with corporate offices, hotel guests and staff.
Work conditions are mainly to work in a fast paced office, it tends to get busy as occupancy grows, or as seasons change.
