Brickhaus Partners is a high-end developing company, which provides a full-service interior design. Specializing in residential design, new construction, and luxury homes. We are currently seeking a junior interior designer that is organized, detail-oriented and passionate about the design process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist homeowners (through face-to-face meetings, phone and e-mail) in making pre-views and final selections for their new home, while keeping a strict selections schedule.
- Assist the project team in producing presentation materials and in presenting designs to clients and other consultants.
- Assisting the Senior Designer in drawings and administrative documents coordination.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Photoshop or other Graphic Design Software to organize client selections and provide information to the construction team.
- Communicate all selections to Suppliers, including all pertinent information required for installation.
- Communicate selections with the construction management team and make sure all selections are complying.
- Report directly to Managing Director and Senior Designer
- Keep clients informed about their selection’s schedules and budgets.
- Prepares flooring standards and customized layouts and respective take-offs.
- Research and offer new materials and products.
- Participate in any design and construction related questions and decisions.
Requirements
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Outgoing, friendly personality; excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch UP, Photoshop or other Graphic Design Software.
- Knowledge of new home construction process and products
- Prior residential selection and interior design experience (2 years minimum)
- Must have Interior Design or Architecture Degree
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to handle customer complaints and recurring problems, and bring to resolution
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives
- Ability to work well in a small group/team setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and ability to learn/utilize industry software.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects at one time.
Note: This position requires willingness to work flexible hours in order to accommodate customer schedules and project deadlines. This position also requires use of your personal vehicle for out of office meetings.
