Job Description

Christensen O'Connor Johnson Kindness PLLC (COJK) (www.cojk.com) is seeking qualified candidates to fill a full-time Records Coordinator position within the Operations Department. The candidate will work closely with staff to support attorneys and other departments at the firm, including the legal assistant and paralegal groups the Docketing Department, and the Marketing Department. This position is starting out virtually and has the ability of being virtual ongoing.

Qualified Records Coordinator candidates will be professional and possess strong interpersonal skills. The position will work independently with minimal supervision after initial training. The candidate should possess excellent oral and written communication skills. It is important that the candidate be highly organized and detail oriented. A team-oriented attitude is essential.

Requirements

  • Follow established firm best practices of file management
  • Process incoming physical documents
  • Process faxes and e-filing
  • Manage incoming and outgoing file transfers
  • Cover, as needed, Reception and Library services (reference downloads, research requests and projects, administration of user accounts, newsletters, electronic and print subscriptions)
  • Perform research projects
  • Follow offsite storage procedures and schedules (there is a possibility of needing to visit the offsite storage facility at times)
  • Manage file disposition in accordance with firm's file retention policy
  • Perform machine translations
  • Interact with vendors for issues escalated from Operation Clerks
  • Perform other miscellaneous tasks, as needed
