Job Description

Gregory Funding is currently seeing a Collateral Specialist. This position will perform a wide variety of duties to support the pre- and post-acquisition processes, lien release, and other document management functions. Our ideal candidate has an eye for process improvement and thrives in a fast paced and high growth environment.

What you will do

  • Maintain a high level of quality when it comes to document review and processing
  • Use your excellent verbal and written communication skills during all interactions with various vendors and sellers to resolve document issues.
  • Have a solid knowledge of best-in class mortgage practices, regulatory requirements, and procedures yes, we will train you on this!
  • Research! You will be using your research skills to resolve and find merger documents, power of attorney and missing assignments through external and internal systems

Requirements

  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in a related industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Access
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft SQL preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills, an eye for detail and quality
  • Ability to prioritize work on multiple projects and manage to tight deadlines
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong research, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed
