Job Description

As the Senior Production Manager, Social you’ll join a dynamic team of content creators to form social strategies and support content production for our huge roster of global brands. You’ll serve as a strategic lead and mentor for the social team, while also being client-facing, as you nurture new business opportunities, provide support in scoping projects, and manage production processes.

The ideal candidate should be a collaborative leader and passionate about building branded content strategies for diverse brands. Strong writing and editing skills, proficiency in performance-based content marketing, and a pulse on the latest social media, video, and digital trends is an absolute must. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment and will mentor a team, guiding them to produce exceptional content. And you’ll know how to partner seamlessly with diverse stakeholders, demonstrate strong internal leadership skills, social media expertise, visual production, and client management know-how.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead social content strategy and provide production oversight and execution for omni-channel content. This includes social calendar creation, content ideation, social copy creation, creative direction, community management, and more.

Delegate tasks and provide comprehensive feedback for a team of talented production managers and designers in terms of copy, creative, and platform-specific optimizations.

Oversee production timelines ensuring the smooth delivery of large scale projects, managing both internal and client priorities.

Create engaging social content and copy, manage content within scheduling platforms, and manage/engage with communities while adhering to a playbook and brand TOV.

Coach and develop team members to enhance individual expertise and identify areas to support skill gaps while fostering a positive team atmosphere.

Lead communication with clients regarding social content timelines, content performance/KPIs, reporting, incremental opportunities, brand strategy, and feedback.

Oversee and own the production process of social media content. Be the gatekeeper of style guides, marketing priorities, and legal considerations. Edit content for clarity, grammar, and design discrepancies. Provide strategic edits and optimizations that drive engagement and KPIs.

Support in the creation of comprehensive social strategies for clients, including auditing, content ideation and planning, social franchises, and content tentpoles.

Identify and share trends in social media with global social network.

Measure and analyze content effectiveness with metrics that establish, validate, and continuously iterate on the various content strategies. Be able to effectively share it all with clients.

Requirements

Exceptional communication skills oral and written. This role will work closely with junior staff, senior managers, internal leadership, and clients.

Strong project management skills to ensure existing projects run smoothly and new opportunities are scoped and executed efficiently.

Excellent presentation skills and experience sharing new ideas with clients.

Social platform expertise needed: Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn

Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and other basic marketing tools.

Understanding of Google Analytics, and other ways to measure content success.

Thoroughness and keen attention to details, especially under tight deadlines.

Ability to:

Acquire firm grasp of numerous brands and diverse businesses.

Prioritize and effectively delegate and manage numerous jobs simultaneously.

Anticipate problems and identify viable solutions.

Understand how the social department functions within the global network.

Knowledge of social platform best practices, regulations, and other marketing fundamentals with respect to digital editorial, video, and social media content.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BA in writing, communications, journalism, content marketing, or equivalent work experience.

6+ years experience in content creation at an agency, publication, or brand.

At least 2-3 years experience in content strategy.

At least 1 year management experience.

Some agency experience preferred.
