Job Description
We are looking for an IT Director to manage and execute the day-to-day technical logistics of Evolv. Reporting to the CFO, this role will ensure IT systems and people are effective and functioning in ways that help us define and own the future of human security.
What you will do:
- Manage relationships of Evolv IT vendors (Electric.AI, Rockport, AWS, and others)
- Establish IT operations best practices, policies, tools and infrastructure that supports the needs of Evolv’s exponential growth
- Develop and participate in the development of IT and IT-related policies, such as Cyber Security, Back Up, Disaster Recover, Business Continuity, SOCII compliance, and others
- Partner with each functional leader to select software and hardware necessary to enable each function of the business
- Maintain a minimum necessary footprint of applications, software and vendors, ensuring that common needs across functions are addressed by same vendors and applications
- Develop strategic plan to grow the IT function to meet Evolv needs through internal hires, IT vendors, and consulting partners, as needed
- Establish IT operations best practices, policies, tools and infrastructure that supports the needs of a fast growing, agile company
- Work with leadership across the organization to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of information technology
- Develop, manage, and track the IT budget
- Leverage understanding of interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs to drive innovation, system selection, and create efficiencies
- Use data to identify trends, drive decisions, and create a continuous improvement cycle
Requirements
- 10 years working experience in IT Management
- Proven experience scaling IT teams in a growing business
- Experience implementing best practices for user access management, incident management, and change management
- A strong IT Security mindset
- Experience developing processes and policies for regulatory compliance such as ISO, SOC II, SOX, PCI, or HIPAA
- Experience building collaboration and rapport within an organization with both technical and non-technical members
- General understanding and experience handling admin responsibilities for standard financial and business applications ERP, CRM, etcpreferably in a public company environment.
