Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for performing certain finance tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of transactions by following established accounting and finance procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Assists in budgeting and forecasting process by performing duties such as coding review and budget vs actual analysis
- Assists with month end closing procedures by assisting with the following:
- Completes supporting schedules and verifies accuracy
- Maintains balance sheet reconciliations
- Reconciles discrepancies, determines account classification, and makes correcting entries in ledgers to ensure data accuracy.
- Prepares journal entries and reports
- Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
- Reconciles financial statements
- Maintains fixed asset records and reconciliations
- Assists in new projects such as process automation and ad hoc financial analysis
- Performs monthly bank reconciliations and posts cash activity
- Any other duties that may be assigned or needed
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline a plus
2+ years accounting experience
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
Experience using MRI and/or Nexus Payable a plus
Experience in fixed asset management a plus
The position is located in our Brickell office in Miami, FL.
