The Funds Development Officer will work with the Executive Director, Program Director, and Finance Committee to develop, implement, and coordinate programs that attract and foster donor relationships that will increase philanthropic support to meet the short and long term needs of Medard’s House.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate major fundraising events and capital campaigns.
- Build and cultivate personal / professional relationships with donors and churches, including writing thank you cards, inviting donors to special events, etc.
- Keep and provide records as needed, including donation receipts, articles for budget reports, etc.
- Work with finance committee and lead a fundraising sub-committee.
- Explore new and creative fundraising opportunities that our students can partake in.
- Fulfill other administrative duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Program Director.
Requirements
- Strong commitment and dedication to the Vision and Mission of Medard’s House.
- Agree to uphold Medard’s House’s Statement of Faith and policies.
- Have a bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a related field, OR 2 years + experience with funds development and capital campaigning.
- Exhibit strong skills in interpersonal communication, public speaking, and problem solving
- Show high proficiency with the following software applications: Word, Excel, Access, and QuickBooks
