The Organizational Assistant is responsible for supporting Medard’s House by being the central communication hub for the organization. This includes maintaining databases and generating reports, checking for compliance with legal and procedural requirements, managing calendars, being knowledgeable of the organization, and being able to communicate effectively between parents, students, volunteers, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain databases and generate reports useful to our grant writer, staff members, and board
- Work with PANO to help Medard’s House attain and keep accreditation
- Assist with social media posts, newsletters, and communications to parents, students, and donors
- Attend monthly board meetings and record minutes as the acting Board Secretary
- Complete other detail-oriented work as assigned
Requirements
- Passionate about seeing young people develop spiritually and academically
- Capable of effectively communicating, both orally and in writing
- Skilled with standard office equipment, Microsoft Office software, and social media applications
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
- Resourceful and able to self-teach when new or difficult tasks are assigned
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Two years of experience in an administrative or secretary position (non-profit experience is a plus)
Benefits
$14/hr @ 8-10 hrs/wk on average.
Potential for future full-time position as the organization grows.
