Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team to help build and maintain Payzer’s AWS cloud infrastructure. Your contributions will be visible and make a difference to our team, our SaaS product, and most importantly to our customers. This challenging position requires a person who thrives working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
While preference is given to applicants local to Charlotte, NC, this position is open to remote employment.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of experience in a combination of software development and technical operations support
- Strong AWS cloud services understanding and experience
- Production-level experience in Terraform, Docker, ECS, ECR, and Fargate
- Experience with monolith and micro service architectures
- Linux and shell scripting
- Solid on managing both LAMP stack and java service apps
- Design, configure, and support software build/deploy pipelines (CI/CD, Git, GitLab)
- Assist with software deployment through various staged operating environments (e.g., Development, QA, Staging, Production)
- Ability to make recommendations to resolve problems by using judgment that is consistent with Payzer's culture
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from end to end with minimal supervision
- Friendly and professional with development, product, quality assurance, and management teams.
- Bonus if experienced with compliance frameworks like PCI and SOC2
