Product Manager - Interoperability

The Product Manager - Interoperability works with the Director of Product Management to identify market needs, prioritize opportunities, and help set the strategy, vision, and go-to-market approach for Vatica Health Products and Features. The Product Manager works closely with internal departments (Development, Operations, Support and Sales) and external stakeholders (customers and partners) to strategically improve the product. The Product Manager - Interoperability will be defining the why and the what of the product vision to define the product roadmap.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the Director of Product Management to define the strategy and vision for Vatica Health Products and communicate them across the organization, especially as it relates to interoperability
• Enable and maintain interoperability through HL7, FHIR, APIs, direct messaging and other interfaces
• Analyze and define Interoperability specifications
• Lead Interoperability product certification/approval processes
• Guide Products and Features through product delivery, with focus on identification, validation, and prioritization of market/strategic needs and pain points
• Engage directly with clients and client-facing Vatica Health teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Support, Implementation) to understand client needs and pain points
• Prioritize market opportunities, Products, and Features based on market impact, resource requirements, and strategic alignment
• Define and analyze metrics that reflect the performance of our Products, Features, and product development
• Create business cases to validate and prioritize Products and Features for development
• Monitor industry and competitor trends and adjust Product vision and strategies accordingly
• Partner with Technology Team to understand available and applicable technologies that can improve efficiency and benefit Clients
• Create Charter and Scope documents and Epics that the product owners can use to write detailed stories for development; write detailed stories for development as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field; or equivalent work experience
• 4+ years of experience working as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Scrum Master or Product Analyst, designing and developing commercial, cloud-based software solutions
• 2+ years of experience with EHRs and healthcare interoperability standards
• Proficiency at interoperability standards including FIHR, HL7, SSO, and C-CDA
• Experience with healthcare data such as patient level data, claims data and provider data
• 4+ years of experience working in the healthcare software industry. Experience with physician practice EMR software and/or health plan quality or risk adjustment software a plus

• 2-3 years of experience working in a software development environment using Agile software development methods with a geographically distributed onshore and offshore team

• Pragmatic Marketing certification a plus
