We are seeking a short-term contractor who is data-driven, collaborative, and has a solid background in IT, Cloud, or software development. This person will support our lead Technology Content Strategist, and be willing to perform work ranging from brass tacks data pulls to more complex analyses. This person should have some background and/or understanding of IT operations, cloud computing, and/or software development. Ideally, this person should also have some understanding of how technology skills are taught -- topics, progression from beginner to advanced -- on Coursera and off. This person will use internal data and market research to identify promising areas in which Coursera should create content related to IT and development. This person will also be asked to prepare documents and data for our university and industry Partnerships teams -- identifying specific IT and development topics, to forecasting enrollment/revenue for these topics.
Responsibilities:
  • Support our lead Technology Content Strategist, performing work ranging from brass tacks data pulls to more complex analyses.
  • Use internal data and market research to identify promising areas in which Coursera should create content related to IT and development.
  • Prepare documents and data for our university and industry Partnerships teams -- identifying specific IT and development topics, to forecasting enrollment/revenue for these topics.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 3+ years experience or knowledge in a breadth of topics related to IT/Cloud and software development, such as cybersecurity, systems, networks, software engineering, or traditional IT architecture
  • 1+ years experience in research and analysis
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience breaking down IT/Cloud topics for beginner to advanced learners
  • Familiarity with Excel, SQL, Python and/or R a plus
  • Have some understanding of how technology skills are taught -- topics, progression from beginner to advanced -- on Coursera and off
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
