Job Description

The Human Resource Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organizations mission and talent strategy.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field with an emphasis in personnel management required. HRCI and/or SHRM Certification required or attained within one year of hire. Five to seven years in personnel-related activities with at least two years’ experience in labor relations is necessary. Working knowledge of all federal and state employment laws is critical. A proficient level experience with Human Resources related Government Contracting, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Defense Contracting Auditing Agency (DCAA) requirements is necessary to plan and accomplish corporate goals.

  • This position will require sitting for long periods of time, walking, standing, and bending as well as using fine motor skills, such as finger dexterity for typing.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Essential Function
  • Confers with company Chief Operations Officer to plan business objectives, to develop organizational policies, tocoordinate functions and operations between channels and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.
  • Business Acumen - Understands business implications of decisions; Displays orientation to profitability; Demonstrates knowledge of market and competition; Aligns work with company strategic goals.
  • Adept at effectively planning, designing, developing and evaluating human resource-related initiatives that support organizational strategic goals. In addition, HR directors can lead performance management, talent assessment, and effective labor relationships, including negotiating and administering labor agreements.
  • Ensuring safety in the workplace in accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor Workplace Safety and Health laws across all Zero Point facilities.
  • Lead team to identify and solve Human Resources problems and implement best industry practices to increase corporate relations and efficiency.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention. Leads all recruiting efforts company wide.
  • Manage employee performance issues, ensuring personnel and management practices conform to corporate and legal policies and regulations
  • Administer the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) - Create Employee Files (hard copy and electronic) ensuring all documentation is completed, secure and all privacy measures are adhered to.
  • Develop and Manage all Corporate HR training requirements throughout the organization, identifying all business-related requirements and ensuring proper and timely training and record retention for all personnel.
  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Leads interviewing process for all aspects of the company, and manages the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Process all employees onboarding and offboarding; maintains Affirmative Action Program statistics for plans and submission.
  • Review and update employee handbook annually to meet current company policy, procedures, and encompasses all business needs. Ensure the handbook complies with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements and advise management when necessary.
  • Responsible for the renewal of all current benefit insurance policies and any new required policies based on current events and growth.
  • Work in partnership with our Finance department/payroll processing team for updated payrolls, problem resolution and error correction, and other departments as required.
  • Develop, manage, and administer all Human Resources related policies and programs in accordance with FAR and DCAA requirements in support of Government Contracts business and Proposal efforts.
  • Provide guidance to company personnel on HR related contract requirements including FAR, and contract terms and conditions.
  • Experience with GSA Schedules desired; familiarity with all contract types; experience with contract negotiations.
