The role:

We are now looking for a proactive and highly organized Service Account Manager to join our growing Service amp; Support department. You will be responsible for developing and executing the service sales strategy and driving top-line growth for the Service business in the US.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of service and aftermarket sales and will quickly be able to develop a sound understanding of the service requirements recommended for the companies’ instrument portfolio.

This is a fully remote role, however candidates in the New Hampshire and surrounding area would be preferred.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Engage customers in advance of warranty or service contract expiration to achieve targeted new agreement or renewal uptake;
  • Proactive contact of non-contract customers to stimulate service agreement uptake and chargeable sales opportunities;
  • Create and maintain up to date support opportunities, tasks, and activities in SalesForce.com including generation of service contract and chargeable quotations;
  • Engage with Commercial team to support service engagement and early contract discussions and uptake;
  • Work closely with the wider service organization to leverage field service capabilities to maximise service contract and chargeable commercial opportunities;
  • Implementation and follow up of customer engagement and service sales campaigns;
  • Periodically arrange customer site visits to discuss service needs and identify service-related sales opportunities;
  • Accountable to achieve quarterly and yearly Service sales targets;
  • Facilitate effective communication amp; trustful collaboration within the organization;
  • Prepare statistical reports and KPIs to provide visibility of sales activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience selling products and/or services;
  • Strong track record of delivering on customer and business commitments;
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in a selling role;
  • Sound understanding and able to demonstrate best practises around lead generation and selling processes;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer facing skills, empathy and listening skills;
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills employing positive language and attitude;
  • Self-motivated with a cooperative attitude, able to work with managers and peers to support the needs of the business;
  • Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize;
  • Able to maintain and promote a safe, clean, tidy, and amicable working environment;
  • Familiarity with SalesForce.com would be an advantage.
