Position Overview:

The Covid-19 Compliance Specialist supports cast, crew, and production team, ensuring that all members adhere to OSF’s Covid-19 Safety Protocols and all union requirements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1- Serves as first level contact and supervision of safety procedures pertaining to Covid-19 infection control:

  • Ensures that all participants receive and comprehend OSF’s Field Manual for to Performances and Operations and on-campus work plan
  • Ensures that all participants follow OSF protocols on physical distancing, hand washing, mask wearing, Covid-19 testing, disinfecting surfaces; offering safety education as necessary.
  • Conducts daily symptom and temperature check screenings.
  • Administers on-site Covid-19 testing as necessary
  • Maintains and educates use of sanitation kits; participates and delegates disinfecting high-touch surfaces throughout work shifts
  • Monitors up-to-date national and Jackson County Covid-19 reports
  • Serves as a resource to answer questions and resolve issues, offering preventative solutions

2- Models and supports the mission and values of OSF:

  • Demonstrates inclusive behavior
  • Maintains a safe and anti-racist working environment
  • Recognizes micro-aggressions and interrupting behaviors that hinder OSF’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access (IDEA) efforts
  • Supports and prioritizes OSF IDEA training and all mandatory trainings

3- Attends Company Meetings, Show Meetings, and Safety Meetings

4- Conducts inspection reports using AGMA/SDC Return to Stage amp; Performing Arts Playbook check-list

5- Communicates across departments to report findings and recommendations

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Director, Producer, and Stage Management to achieve consistent safety practices.
  • Performs other safety and health related work as assigned.

General Manager and/or Safety Manager

Requirements

Qualifications amp; Skills:

Work Experience: Has worked in a professional environment. Experience in media, entertainment, film, and performing arts.

Qualifications/Skills: Confident instructing and course-correcting best practices in safety compliance. Experience in de-escalating conflict using clear communication, both verbal and written. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Comfortable using cloud-based information sharing systems.

Physical Ability: Lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally, walk or stand a minimum of four hours per shift, climb stairs occasionally, and sit for extended periods of time with or without work modifications. Able to work at heights.

Other Skills, Ability and/or Knowledge: Ability to pivot and respond to last minute changes. Confidentiality required.

Special Hours Requirements: Standard work week is Tuesday Sunday. Night-time and weekend hours are required. Ability to work overtime frequently, and at a short-time notice.

PREFERRED:

Experience working with unions. Attended EDI or anti-racist trainings. Experience working with performers, designers, artists. Covid-19 Compliance Certifications. Trained by Health provider to administer Covid-19 testing. Environmental, Health and Safety experience. Knowledge of safety practices and industrial hygiene in production shops. Knowledge of AEA, IATSE, OSHA, HIPAA, OHA, CDC guidelines.

Pay Range: $23 - $25/hourly
