Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Supervisor

Schedule: Full-time, 4pm-12am with rotating weekends

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Assists the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Supervisor in supervising BHT’s training, schedules and timesheets.
• Provides a friendly amp; supportive environment while assisting residents to develop daily routines amp; conflict resolution skills.
• Supervises residents, guiding them through established structured activities amp; daily routines.
• Acts in a professional role to promote the mission, ethics amp; brand promise of the Walden agency.

Specific Responsibilities of the Job:

• Train new hire Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT’s) and Behavioral Health Technician Shift Leads and provide ongoing development and training.
  
• Create and maintain schedules including staff, holiday and outreach schedules.
• Review and approve team timesheets in accordance with schedules.
• Evaluate team performance and provide feedback and suggestions on their performance.

• Reports on program needs and provides suggestions and feedback.

• Provide coverage days, nights, weekends and holidays as scheduled based on program need.

• Responsible for completing all required paperwork according to agency standards.

• Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and trainings.

• Provide crisis intervention as needed.

• Participates in corrective action process of BHT’s in conjunction with BHT Manager/Residential Director.

• Assists in performance evaluations for the BHT’s.

• Respond appropriately to the cultural differences of staff, clients, residents, and referral sources.

• Adhere to all policies, procedures amp; regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Licensure, Education, amp; Experience:

• AA degree preferred. HS diploma plus 1-2 years direct residential and management experience in lieu of AA degree.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving history required.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Previous experience working in an adult residential setting preferred.
