Trusty.care a pre-Series A start-up dedicated to expanding access to Medicare information so aging communities can make more informed healthcare decisions is HIRING! Position Overview

The Database Architect is part of the engineering team, and is responsible for designing and implementing database structures demanded by the product and corporate strategy of the Company.

They should communicate closely and regularly with the VP, Engineering, while working sufficiently independently as to efficiently complete assigned projects.

They should coordinate timelines and priorities with the VP, Engineering.

Role and Responsibilities

The DataBase Architect will be responsible for defining and designing database structures that are intuitive, performant, practical, highly available, scalable, and able to handle large datasets - 80+ million records. These data structures will be utilized by existing and future web-based applications (React, React Native, JavaScript, Python) and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau).

He/She will programmatically extract data from existing MySQL data structures, manipulate the data utilizing proprietary business logic and store that data in better optimized and scalable ways in a new MySQL server which may be expanded to include a Document Store.


Requirements

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years with one or more SQL database engines (MySQL, MSSQL, Postgres).
  • 5+ years designing, building, and implementing databases.
    • tables, views, triggers, functions, and stored procedures
  • 3+ years with one or more NoSQL database engines (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
  • Linux environment (Ubuntu) hosted on Amazon AWS.
  • Cloud technologies (AWS, Docker).
  • SQL, Python, JSON

Benefits

Pay:

  1. $65/hr - $80/hr, Dependent on Experience
