Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Training and supervising food service staff
- Preparing gourmet meals for clients, family and staff.
- Ability to prepare gluten free, organic, vegan, and specialty meals
- Organize food storage areas and keep clean.
- Ordering proper items for kitchen as needed.
- Work with food service vendor on menu planning and cost control
- Consistent monitoring temperatures on all equipment
- Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen in compliance with all health codes
- Ensure good personal hygiene for self as well as food service staff
- Be able to manage portion control
Capable of role modeling to the clients. Helps to maintain a strong clinical program. Staff able to work together to effectively meet the needs of the clients. Maintains positive relationship with clients. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to problem solve by gathering and analyzing information, working well in an individual/ group problem solving situation, and showing initiative in problem solving. Maintains professionalism and does not show favoritism. Maintains consistency with clients, staff, visitors, and the public. Flexible and adaptable. Ability to sustain a team environment.
Requirements
Prefer registered dietician or someone with a background in nutritional health. At least one year experience cooking in food service industry as a Chef required.
