Job Description

We’re looking for an outgoing, technical individual, who is not only able to learn how things work and are put together, but also able to teach customers and coworkers how to safely and efficiently run ETS equipment per our recommended processes and procedure.


The Post Sales Services Technician is responsible for Commissioning ETS systems and equipment, both hydrocarbon and ethanol, on customer location, providing in-house, on-site and virtual Training as assigned and scheduled, handling customer tech support issues as assigned, and keeping full and accurate documentation on all activities per procedure requirements as well as assisting in improving equipment documentation and manuals. At times this position will also participate in the delivery of internal training and education efforts as assigned.


This position is based out of our Denver area location and requires around 80% overnight travel, including international travel.

Excellent English spoken and written, Excellent Spanish spoken and written a plus.

This position earns a base salary, plus training bonus and per diem for travel.


Main Responsibilities

  • Required to be proficient in set-up, use, and maintenance of extraction machines.
  • Required to be able to work with minimum oversight and supervision.
  • Travel to customers for commissioning services as scheduled.
  • Perform and record on-site inspection of provisions, new equipment for completeness of kit and any damaged items.
  • Follow current processes and procedure to train and supervise customer personnel on the safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is installed and training performed within timeframes scheduled by ETS.
  • Document provisions, condition of equipment, serial numbers, full commissioning and training performed using procedure documentation and with pictures and video as required.
  • Assist in and present as assigned training of ETS staff as to the proper set-up, use, maintenance of systems and ancillary equipment, as well as the preferred methods to interact with customers.
  • Troubleshoot, determine root cause and resolve customer issues as Technical Support issues are assigned and handle all assigned Tech Support issues timely and according to Priority, Severity and Urgency.
  • Completely and accurately document Tech Support issues handled per process and procedure, including troubleshooting, cause, resolution and applicable follow up, as well as notes and recommendations where needed for technical or process improvements.
  • Perform hands-on Ramp;D activities as assigned and needed.
  • Required to participate in ongoing trainings to be proficient in set-up, use, and maintenance of ETS machines and systems.
  • Continuously take initiative to attend product training and informational presentations to enhance knowledge base.

Requirements

  • Excellent spoken and written English and Spanish preferred
  • Current passport or willing to obtain one for international travel
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience in a service technician capacity
  • Mechanically and technically inclined
  • Must be able to travel internationally and hold a valid passport, or have the ability to get one
  • Ability to read and interpret build and installation instructions as well as piping diagrams
  • General understanding of electrical safety, mechanics and wiring
  • General understanding of hvac systems and airflow
  • General understanding of fire safety and requirements
  • Understanding of and general working knowledge of programming basic control panels
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to ‘switch gears’ desk/on the road
  • Ability to work and be productive in different environments and with different constraints and requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and complete resolution; Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to work with multiple and competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Able to reliably work independently, meeting timelines and other requirements
  • Experience working with Google Suite apps (Gmail, Drive, Calendars)
  • Experience working with MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
