About this role:

The E-commerce Strategist is responsible for helping our clients grow their brands and achieve their business goals. You will partner with our merchants to ensure they are maximizing their ROI by implementing eCommerce best practices and data driven recommendations. In this role, you will work directly with our clients, as well as our design, development, and production teams to oversee the successful launch of e-commerce websites and CRO engagements for fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and luxury brands on Shopify and Shopify Plus.


What you'll be doing

  • Work with clients to understand key business objectives as well as both long-term and short-term goals
  • Review client’s Google Analytics accounts as well as other data sources (ie: Hotjar) to make strategic, data backed recommendations on Shopify apps, functionality or within our CRO program
  • Work with client to define KPI’s and ensure we are consistently working towards our target(s)
  • Be comfortable with pushing back on client requests when it comes to work that doesn’t help them achieve their goals
  • Create, present and get approval on roadmaps from client and their executive team
  • Capture and document data from recommendations to ensure goals are being met
  • Schedule and lead CRO program status calls, roadmap review calls and retrospectives
  • Setup targeting and segmentation strategies within various Optimization platforms, such as: Dynamic Yield, JustUno, Omniconvert amp; Nosto
  • Stay up to date on best practices and new features within Shopify and Optimization platforms noted above
  • Train clients on setting up simple campaigns/tests within Optimization platform
  • Conduct UX/CX/CRO audits with data backed recommendations on existing e-commerce websites
  • Present audit findings to client and any executive team members
  • Work with Program or Project Manager to ensure tasks are properly assigned and that requirements are clearly defined
  • Support our Senior eCommerce Strategists with any sales support, such as: data analysis, benchmarking, deck building

Requirements

Must have:

  • 2+ years experience in eCommerce
  • 2+ years of experience in Shopify/Shopify Plus
  • Experience working with multiple clients at the same time, ideally in an agency setting
  • In-depth understanding of CRO: A/B amp; multivariate testing, optimization amp; personalization
  • Ability to pull relevant data/reporting from Google Analytics and make recommendations
  • Understanding of e-commerce trends and best practices
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional team
  • Eagerness to learn and grow
  • Ability to think strategically and outside the box


Wishlist:

  • Knowledge of amp; experience using platforms such as Dynamic Yield, JustUno, OmniConvert amp; Nosto
  • Understanding of web content and feature mapping/modeling
  • Experience in creating UX/CX audits
  • Comfortable with user and stakeholder interviews/testing
  • Experience in creating and presenting roadmap presentations
  • Ability to review heatmap amp; session recording tools/data to analyze customer behavior
  • Experience working on both, projects and retainers
