About You: You are a self starter with a passion for crafting elegant, scalable solutions to modern problems. You are excited at the prospect of building a brand new system that will revolutionize the way employees view and manage their benefits data.

Some Challenges You’ll Tackle:

• Help establish/iterate on coding standards and best practices
• Effectively craft/review architecture design documents
• Integrating our application with complex external systems
• Help iterate on our development pipeline as our team scales
• Build scalable, maintainable software given a complex set of requirements

Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience delivering production-grade software
• Experience producing/consuming HTTP APIs (REST, SOAP, gRPC, etc.)
• Working knowledge of CI/CD workflows
• Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases
• Version control (we use git)
• Experience with modern languages/frameworks (we use Go and .NET)
• Experience with distributed, asynchronous systems
• Experience working with containers (Docker, rkt, etc.)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
• Self-directed and responsible for deliverables
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or ample real-world experience
• Team player

Bonus Qualifications:

• Cloud Provider experience (GCP, AWS, etc.)
• .NET or Go experience
• Experience working with container orchestration
• Experience with observability/monitoring tools
