At Demo Duck, we help businesses create video content for any mission. Our videos tell stories, educate customers, explain the complex, and humanize brands. We’re a small, creative crew based in West Town (with many of us working from home at the moment), and we’ve produced hundreds of videos for everyone from startup founders to the Fortune 500.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We’re looking for a talented art director who can work with internal and external creatives to deliver top-quality design and animation on our projects. This person would be charged with ensuring everything on projects from a design and motion perspective is of the highest caliber - getting hands on at first and then communicating those ideas to other project team members as the project progresses. This is a a Chicagoland-based position.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop style frames amp; storyboards for animation and design live action graphics
- Communicate design and motion ideas to clients and freelance creatives
- Work closely with Producer from project start to finish
- Develop custom visuals for pitches and treatments
- Participate in team brainstorms
- Help identify and recruit creative talent
- Animate 2D motion graphics on shorter duration projects
- Perform motion design work as needed for sales, marketing and internal projects.
- Assist with motion graphics as needed for live action videos
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-4 years of experience in design and animation
- Expert in Illustrator and Photoshop
- Proficient in After Effects
- Experience with Premiere a plus
- Portfolio worthy examples of storyboards and style frames
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Self motivated with strong organizational skills
- BA/BS/MBA in animation, motion design, or related field
