Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack

Job Description
We are looking for strong, passionate Software Engineers to join our Engineering team in NYC. We use our powers for good here! Your work will have a direct impact on making quality education affordable for students.
We invite you to a world of rapid prototyping, where you can be part of the conversation of new ideas and their implementation. You will execute those ideas using the latest systems development tools and frameworks, running over scalable cloud infrastructure with automatic deployments through continuous integration. You will leverage your superb attention to detail and problem solving skills to ensure that Frank’s products and services are correctly aligned with the students' interest.
- Design and implement intuitive, multi-device experiences for end users
- Design and implement APIs to service our products and business partners
- Work closely with other Engineers and Product Managers to rapidly prototype new ideas that can immediately be tested in the market with real-world users
- Maintain and introduce new features into existing core products
- Participate in planning and feedback on new product features; provide insight and experience to guide best practices for systems design and development
- Ensure long-term stability of systems with documentation and testing
- Participate and help facilitate peer code reviews and an efficient development process
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or a technical discipline
- At least 3 years of experience building robust and efficient applications
- Familiarity with current best practices in Software Development Lifecycle
- Significant experience with:
- JavaScript amp; React Framework
- Web Technologies: HTML, HTTP, CSS
- Working with REST APIs
- Building backend applications with NodeJS and ES6 and Express
- Amazon AWS stack of Cloud Services, Kubernetes, Docker
- Designing amp; using SQL/NO SQL databases (MySQL amp; Postgres, MongoDB)
- Web security best practices
- Experience integrating with ecommerce ecosystem apps is a plus
- Proficiency in Java (Spring framework), Python and Go is a plus
