An Account Executive at Synthace is entrusted to help our clients understand the vision of automation-driven science using our SaaS platform. You are a keen hunter, while also being adept at farming, and will use your expert knowledge of the Life Sciences market to seek out and build relationships based on trust.

About youYou will be responsible for inspiring others to continually innovate on current lab processes to enable more complex and sophisticated science for better data-driven insights.
This is a client facing role where you will be predominately interacting with research scientists and engineers in the biopharmaceutical industry. As such, your ability to quickly learn new scientific ideas and keep abreast of developments in the industry will be key, as you will consult leading industry researchers looking to revolutionize their working practices.

What you'll be doingReporting to the VP Sales, you would be joining our world-class team with a particular focus on potential clients in the biopharmaceutical industry.
You will work closely with the Marketing and Business teams to build new relationships, develop new leads and close deals where there are relevant applications for our revolutionary product, while managing your own pipeline to deliver (and exceed) against quarterly targets. Due to the nature of the current applications of Antha and our target customers, we expect you to grow your sales funnel with multiple small to medium deals but this could change as we scale.
Ideally, you will be based out of Cambridge/Boston, but we are open to a flexible arrangement given the right fit, as long as you're open to regular travel to Boston to engage with the team.
Travel to client sites and other locations may be expected, including occasional visits to our office in London, UK.
Role responsibilities
  • Active prospecting and demand generation across multiple segments of existing and potential customers
  • Closing deals by thoughtfully addressing key stakeholders in the sales journey while navigating organizational complexities
  • Building sales pipeline through the appropriate prioritization and exploration of leads
  • Playing a proactive part in the ongoing improvement of sales collateral, processes, and training
Your skills experience
  • You have a BS, MS or PhD in a life-sciences discipline. Other adjacent areas such as science communication or life-sciences enterprise are also potentially of interest
  • Experience in a SaaS (Software as a Service) sales role is highly desirable
  • You have a 'completer finisher' personality, with a proven and consistent track record of hitting sales targets in a new business, direct sales role
  • You should also have domain knowledge from a background working in a sales environment related to molecular biology
  • You're adept at maintaining composure when dealing with difficult situations
  • You thrive in ambiguous and ever changing environments
  • You have a positive outlook, and an inner drive to achieve targets
  • Curious by nature and always learning, you soak up new information for fun
  • You have a great eye for detail
  • A passion for problem solving and constructively challenging prospects, finding solutions to their challenges
