About the Role
We are looking for a full-time Team Manager who will help lead all day-to-day operations for one of our competitive teams. To be successful, you will need an eye for talent both on and off the roster, strong management and leadership traits, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a strong focus on process and organization.
What You'll Do (Essential Functions)
- Drive competitive success
- Oversee and manage day-to-day operations
- Advise and assist in content production surrounding the team
- Work with our Partnerships team to coordinate player appearances to fulfill sponsor deliverables
- Coordinate with Tournament Organizers to provide suitable competition environments consistent with past Tournaments and Competitions
- Gather, analyze, and report relevant data to management
- Implement long-term and short-term planning processes
- Build and support scouting and analytics teams
- Negotiate appropriate contracts for new and incoming players
- Other responsibilities as assigned from time to time
Requirements
- One or more years experience in esports as a Team Manager or Lead
- Working knowledge and understanding of event management and tournament operations
- Supervise players and coaches
- Must be able to prioritize and lead multiple projects on time and within budget
- Strategic thinker with excellent leadership, management, and communications skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to navigate both internal and external parties
- Expert in process improvement and development
- Knowledge of the industry and its key players
- Tech Savvy- ability to troubleshoot any computer issues players may have
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, and streaming softwares
- Experience with Microsoft Teams
- Minimum of high school diploma
Bonus points if you have or are
- Experience dealing with sports immigration matters (P-1A)
- Experience working with tournament operators
- Multilingual
