Job Description

Sandbox Learning is looking for a performance-driven subscription marketing manager that would like to make a positive impact on education in the US and UK. The mission for this role is to accelerate the growth of Sandbox Learning’s teacher and school subscription services with our TeacherVision and Teachit brands.

The right candidate will help accelerate Sandbox Learning’s growth by implementing customer-centric growth strategies for our teacher subscription offerings. This includes driving the strategy and execution of top-of-funnel lead generation, acquisition, customer lifecycle marketing, and retention.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive Sandbox Learning’s overall subscription growth and retention strategy, ensuring repeatable and scalable results, and communicating the strategy across all internal teams and with leadership.
  • Own and manage the buyer journey and funnel across the customer lifecycle; improve conversion rates and work cross-department to collaborate on changes/optimizations and new initiatives.
  • Conceptualize and implement/manage a robust pipeline of optimization tests, continuously improving conversion metrics and driving growth in subscription bookings. Use data-driven insights to propose and design future tests.
  • Identify high-potential channels to test and incorporate into the broader acquisition/retention plan. Work across marketing to optimize the mix across channels and with both organic and paid acquisition.
  • Manage, analyze, and build upon all aspects of our internal subscription and performance data, which includes analysis and reporting to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for further subscription revenue growth.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer journey throughout the funnel and in our different marketing channels
  • Create concepts and designs for new digital projects; drive project management and lead cross-functional teams for cross-functional efforts.

Requirements

Skills and Experience Required for this Job:

  • 4+ years of marketing experience working in a direct-to-consumer, subscription model business. Education technology experience is a plus.
  • Have a data-first mindset and expertise in gathering data-driven insights from program performance and developing recommendations to drive continuous improvement in results. Fluency with subscription metrics and KPIs a must.
  • Expertise in conversion rate optimization; designing and implementing optimizations to UX, landing pages, and messaging.
  • Deep understanding of user experience best practices; proven ability to successfully partner across an organization to craft a holistic plan and roadmap.
  • Comfortable getting your hands dirty and implementing programs from start to finish.
  • Excellent decision-making skills with a knack for identifying, prioritizing, and articulating the highest impact initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Strong project management amp; problem-solving track record - ability to think critically through unique problems with no set playbook and quickly implement a path to a solution.
  • Power user of AB testing platforms such as Optimizely, Visual Web Optimizer, or Google Optimize
  • Expertise in marketing automation with hands-on experience using such tools as Maropost, Marketo, Pardot, etc.
  • Some experience a a product manager or doing paid acquisition would be a plus.
  • HTML and CSS experience would be a plus.
  • Positive attitude, detail, and customer-oriented, with good multitasking and organizational ability
  • Bachelor's degree required, MS/MBA preferred.
