Job Description

The Senior Procurement Analyst is responsible for overseeing all procurement and sourcing at ER. This critical role will help ER to define the best practices for purchasing goods and services that are requested by all departments across the organization. Given the insight into purchasing as a whole, this role is tasked with identifying opportunities and leveraging cost savings where they would normally be missed. This role is responsible for ensuring adherence to sourcing policies and developing an overall procurement strategy including the development and implementation of Supplier Diversity Program. This position will also become an expert in responding to and building uniformity in responses to requests for information (RFI) as well as supplier questionnaires.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and define a strategy to find cost-effective suppliers and deals that align to ER ethics, policies and practices with a focus on development of a Supplier Diversity Program.
  • Build out and manage the corporate supplier diversity program’s performance including:
    • Existing diverse supplier relationships
    • Number of new diverse suppliers onboarded
    • Savings generated from diverse supplier program
    • Increase internal / external customer satisfaction
  • Discover the best ways to reduce procurement expense through thoughtful sourcing strategies
  • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
  • Examine and test existing contracts to ensure alignment to sourcing and procurement strategies, renegotiating where possible or necessary
  • Works with process owners to identify necessary procurement needs, defines requirements
  • Assists in RFP and bidding process
  • Monitors Vendor onboarding process to ensure that Security Management Team and Legal are included as required
  • Works with legal to review and revise contract terms, monitoring Vendor onboarding to ensure that all requirements are met
  • Track and report key metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Approves vendor for input into GL
  • Work with compliance to perform an annual review of higher risk vendors and includes legal/security/other parties involving other departments as necessary
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements, conducting an annual review for high risk vendors
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clarity of contract specifications and expectations of ER
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Proven working experience in procurement and/or accounts payable
  • Experience developing and implementing a Supplier Diversity Program
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • BS degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration or at least 7 years directly related experience
